93 GC 5.2 Tranny gone????

I was on the freeway rounding a corner and when I came out and tried to accelerate the tranny was gone. I was able to shut off and restart and the vehicle would act like it wanted to move and would for about 100 feet. I limped it to a parking lot. Any suggestions on problem. Any good referrals and estimates on shop repair in the seattle area (southend near renton preferred). If I can't solve the problem for a reasonable price the vehicle is for sale for $1500 and is in good condition overall with a few small cosmetic issues (lights cracked on drivers side front and back, small crease on upper front fender from grazing a deer, needs new oil level sensor. 211K highway miles between Portland and Seattle, green exterior, grey interior is cloth and in good condition, Air, tilt, cruise, power windows and locks, PL, AM-FM CD Pioneer stereo with MTX speakers, 60% tread 30x9.5x15 Big-O tires, roof rack, tow package.
