To anyone that has this problem, check this out. My '00 zx2 was idling up and down when stopped and my fuel mileage went down about 10 mpg. The fix was the hose that is connected to the pcv valve. It had a hole on either end that was making my car have too much air in the line and the computer was compensating that with burning more fuel. Just wanted to post this since I found it out and I hope this helps someone else in the future. Still no fix for the low idle that makes the car vibrate some.

thats a common pvc problem
what is a "low idle" a 800-950 idle is normal, just get an Underdrive pully, FordRacing plug wires and a MSD coil. the idle wil smooth right out.

I changed the pcv valve at the same time and it still shakes some. It only shakes when it is below 1,000 rpms, and it doesn't do it bad enough to do any major work. I appreciate the tips though. This site has really helped me a lot with other cars.

Plug wires alone will have a notiveable improvement, and they are only about $50.
