Depends on what you want to do. I personally wouldn't race a .060 over 350 - those get hot, real hot. Heat leads to detonation under power, detonation under power leads to broken parts.

You didn't really give enough info, such as what's cam duration @.050 lift, what type of exhaust, etc. Remember these parts have to work together. The 700 carb ain't going to fly too well with the heads you have, if you want high RPM you're going to need more lift, more CFM, and plenty of exhaust. Remember as well that as you move the powerband up in the RPM scale, the less streetable your car will be. What exact pistons are you running? Stock dish pistons on a 350 will take you to damn near 10:1 on 64cc heads.

With that setup, you'll be over 400hp at the crank for sure. To be honest, your combustion chamber size is a little on the large side I think. You also might want to think about 1.6 rollers...I agree that for racing you would want more lift, where you're at right now would be perfect for a nice street motor.

sorry for asking the same question in this thread, as i hate when people do it, but i didnt see fit to make another thread. So how much HP do you guys estimate my car has:

350, bored to a 355, 12.5:1 compression, Weiand Xcellerator intake, headers, camel hump heads, 280h cam (comp cams magnum... .480 lift)

The guy who sold it to us said that it ran in the 13's in the 1/4. But i do have a question, he said every time it shifted, the tires chirped.. does it sound like it has a shift kit in it?

Thanks

if it chirps when it shifts it has a kit,and you are in the 350 to 380 hp at the crank range.

heres another one a bit off topic, but not worthy of another thread... what if the car is a 350, 30 over, 770 street dominater carb, .480/.480 lift cam 1.5 rollers, the heads not sure of the exact specs, but they are edelbrock performers. without a shift kit, will chirp em up to 4th gear (4 speed) what would you say for power in this one?

My car is 60 over and i have no cooling problem what so ever and im still running a belt driven water pump.. i had to actually put a 180 thermostat to keep it running up to temp in 40 50 degree weather
