I have a 99 Navigator with 105k on it. It starts every time except the only way to keep it running is to keep your foot on the gas other wise it just dies. As long I keep my foot just barely on the pedal it runs fine, just wondering if anybody else has had this problem or any ideas as to what it could be. TIA

It could be a Intake leak. If the check engine light is on, have the codes read at any local parts store for free. TIM

It is the IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE, just had mine replaced on a 2001
F-150 Supercrew. I had the same symptoms. Go to FordTruckEnthuiast.com and check the forums.
Around $240.00 parts, labor, and other charges at the dealer. Mine is the 5.4 engine. I believe the part alone is around $80.00. It can be cleaned but it won't last. Good Luck. 1977 Greyghost
