why do people buy clothes for their dogs? i mean i can understand if u have a short haired dog and you live in wisconsin *like i do* or any other wintry place and it's too cold for them to go outside. but the people that constantly buy sweaters, shirts, vests, rainslickers, boots, scarves, hats and any other shit we have at petsmart are just retarded. dogs are meant to wear clothes.
i'm a cashier and i swear every person that has ever purchased our line of winter boots for their dog has returned them and was shocked that 1) their dog didn't like them 2) they didn't fit...
i got a job at a petstore cuz i didn't want to fold clothes for my job..oh well. people make such a mess of it too. they rip like 50 sweaters off the hangers, move them around and leave them in big piles on the floor. thanks a bunch people. but the thing that pisses me off the most is when people let their dogs shit or piss all over the store and they won't clean it up. one lady even went up to one of the guys that i work with and was like my dog just pooped on your floor and then rudely told him that it's HIS job to clean up after her dog...i love my job and the people i work with but sometimes there are just certain things people do that really get to me :banghead:

Why do men buy clothes for their wives?

It's a waste of money. Unless they have a reason the dog news to wear something. But then again the only reason I could see is if they owned a short haired dog and it is well below -10 were they live. People just don't have anything better to spend there money on. Just my 2cents though.

I liked buying clotches for my ex. It's kind of weird though, what's the point of buying her clothes if she's going to be so happy she'll take it off anyway :)

I wish there was a job where you can just love. Like, it doesn't even have to be a career, just a job. I work at Boston Pizza. The waitresses are hot and all plus you get to meet new people everyday, but if there are trainees in the back, then there's going to be some fucked up orders and you're the one that's going to have to face the customers. You should speak with your manager or something, ask them to put a sign up concerning shit cleaning your own dog :)

Just be happy you don't work at a restuarant. I've been working at them for sometime now(it becomes this lifestyle) I can tell you shit that would make you never want to eat out again(generally not employees fucking with the food, just overall nastyness.) The best are the midnight cleaning raids the day before the health inspectors come. Those nights you have a crew of like 10 people comes in and work 10+hours cleaning every fucking thing in the place so the it won't get shut down. God I love and hate my job, i swear restuarants are the only place where a hangover is an acceptable reason to go home and where you can tell your boss to fuck off and not get fired. Peace-

I loved working at the pizza place back at home for the same reason. The only problem eing you have to be real careful on what you saw to them or around them, because it wouldn't be to hard for them to file a sexual harrassment case against you. I almost had it happen to me once, something slipped out of my mouth and the mananger came right over to me and had a talk.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Sexual harrasment at a restuarant????? Are you kidding me??????? IN A KITCHEN??????? The kitchen is the men's place, even if you have a women working in there they get it. A kitchen is the last frontier in the workplace. You can say whatever you want, whenever you want, to whoever you want. Seriously man, maybe pizza places are different, but in a kitchen there is no such thing as sexual harrasment. Peace-

All places are different. She lightened up once she got to know me. This happened with in the first week of work. In the end we were pretty much best friends. With the place I was working at there was only about 12 employees and about 7-8 of them were women. All the men were deliverly drivers, but were also expected to help out when needed.

Been there done that many of times. The only reason I could get away with telling my boss to f*ck was the fact the thought that my mom was hott. To think about it thats the only reason he hired me in the first place. He hated me, but oh well now he is deliverying chinese food... He was such an a$$hole

my dog has a coat. he is a california puppy, born and raised there. he moved to toronto, then i flew him out here to saskatoon when i moved here. his fucking feet are cold, ok?

hes used to 30 degree weather all year round, now in saskatoon, it gets to -40 celcius sometimes. its at least -10 for about 4 or 5 months out of the year. damn straight he's going to wear a coat. and boots, boots too. im not going to carry him up 3 flights of stairs again becuase his poor feet froze and he can't walk.

and hes a 60 pound lab mutt.

I have to admit my mom and dad have bought clothes for our dog. One is a small Nebraska jersey, which is kinda a novelty thing anyway, i think its funny. The other is a hoody type thing, which seeing as it's a Yorkie and it gets freezing here in the winter, if he goes for walks it actually does serve a purpose. I have to agree that goin all out and buying a ton of clothes for your dog is stupid though. BTW, wut part of Wisconsin are you from? I'm from the northern part if Illinois, although I'm at college in central Illinois now.

further, i have a small selection of clothing for my ferrets. one of them in paralyzed, and if hes outside, a pop a ferret tshirt on him so that he doesnt pull his belly over rocks and hurt himself. my original ferret kid has a faux leather biker jacket complete with chain and punks not dead patch. i gelled a mohawk on his head, and paraded him on breakfast television a few years ago for a ferret fashion show.

why? its fun.

im all for animal welfare. believe me, im nuts. but i dont, and never will, find anything wrong with dressing animals. its hardly "cruel". Most animals ive seen dressed up dont mind the clothing. my dog ive had some modelling sessions with (i was sick, bedridden, and bored as hell), and he had a blast. i dressed him up in girls clothes and took pictures. i have a kick ass picture of my dog in a stained wife beater, playing dead, with beer bottles all around him. he was tail wagging the whole time. im going to try to post some pictures on here and you can tell me if he looks neglected.

I don't care if they were clothes. Im not going to lose sleep about it. They could say your neglectful for not clothing your dog in the snow..I have a dog that I don't put clothes. Why? Waste of money, and he doesn't need it, even though I live in Maine.

WHAT

my father didn't fight in 'Nam so that dogs could wear clothing.

Good stuff..lol.

aww ur ferret looks so cute. and i wasn't bitching about clothes that serve a purpose like keeping a warm weather pet warm up north. i was more so talking about the people that have closests of dog clothes *yes i know people like this* and i think this is ridiculous and a waste of money. each article of clothing, at least at petsmart, is $14-20 apiece. and if you have like 10 sweaters for your dog...that adds up. halloween costumes are cute too, i dressed my cat up as superman for halloween hehe

you like the ferrets eh? how bout some more pictures!!!

the light one is dusty, you can see how his belly drags on the ground. hes paralyzed, came to me that way.

the lighter sable is pechu, hes my original old man.

the darker sable with the white on his chest is osker, my most recent fuzzbutt. hes been with me a couple months and when he came to me he was skinny, rough fur, blase, and had sores on his body. now hes a fat ass (mostly muscle actually), thick lush coat, and perfect skin. see what a good diet can do?

pechu and osker are on raw meat. when pechu switched to raw food, all of his lumps went away, and osker filled out. dusty is on the highest quality kibble out there because he tends to not eat the meat sometimes and because of his other health problems, i cant risk him getting emaciated again.

and did i mention none of them get along? so theyre all separated all the time. damn ferts :)

enjoy!

How would like to walk outside naked everytime you had to piss or shit?

It gets below freezing here, and my dogs like their sweaters. They often bring them to me just for me to them on so they can run around and look pretty. I don't want them being cold when they have to piss or shit, otherwise they don't finish outside, they do inside.

I will not be impressed if AF makes a pet forum.

Funny how a stress release thread turns into a post a pic of your animals dressed up. Not complaining, just amusing. Go on.

in the store we typically don't carry sweaters large enough for great danes. on the website --> www.petsmart.com there are a larger selection of clothes and extended sizes *so i heard from managers, so that should be right* if mods are reading this, don't get me in trouble, i'm not promoting my own stuff, just answering her question

When your dog has a better wardrobe than you...then there's a huge problem :lol2:

I'm not one for dressing up my animals, but I'm also in Arizona, land of 360 days of sunshine and 2 weeks of "winter". I can see getting coats for shorthaired breeds in snow country. But I personally don't like seeing people dress up their animals because they think it's cute. However I keep my opinions to myself as I am sure some people could probably care less about things I like to do :)
