heres the choises:
-02' Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V + 4k to spend on mods.

or
-02' VW GTI VR6
http://www.edmunds.com/media/roadtests/firstdrive/2002/02.vw.gti/02.vw.gti.f34.500.jpg
It comes out to the same amount of money spent.
personally id have to say id take the spec v and the cash, shit id take the spec v even w/o the extra cash. IMHO the gti looks like crap and is hardly what id view as a "performance" car.
what do you think?

Go with the Spec V...
Nismo coming to U.S. + $4000 = Lots of fun :)
Plus its just plain sexy...

I would take the Spec V too just because its a nissan and it would be cheaper to maintain. But the VR6 is faster and USUALLY has better quality.

I would definately choose the VR6. Black w/ Black leather- Much better than the goofy red and black seats in the Spec V. The new DOHC VR6 is a gem. The GTI doesnt handle like the Nissan, but it makes up for it with quality, and power. Go to VWVortex.com look at their 400 hp turbo VR6's, good-bye Spec-V!

A 400 HP VR6? WOW now that's power  I remember seeing a certain Nissan with over triple that HP :) haha

Yeah, Im talking about street legal. I'd like to see you drive that car through city traffic! I test drove the SpecV two days ago, its a VERY nice car. I didnt like the shifter though, the gates were too close, too hard to get the right gear. Still a great car. I still think I'd take the GTI.;) ;)

If you get the sentra, PLEASE LOWER it! Those sit so high up on those unorthodox wheels, ugh!
I'd get the vr6 though, it's much classier and has less ricer appeal. I fell in love with a 4door golf at a car show, just because of the overall appeal of it.

i test drove the gti, it's pretty quick and it can be even faster with a simple mod chip
but i still chose the spec v because i love how the front looks and i love the interior (even though my favorite color is blue), since i have more knowledge with japanese cars, it'll be easier for me to fix up, peace
