Just spray it with some brake cleaner or electronics cleaner. Don't use any other types of cleaners, because they will leave a residue.

Its a block looking thing (almost looks like a muffin fan) on your air filter intake tube... Between the air filter and intake

I used rubbing alcohol to clean mine and it worked pretty well. I don't know if the alcohol left any residue behind though.

witch hazel is some old school voodoo you say the right incantation start the fire under your culdron and then go pick some up at your closest natural food store. Its an astringent or extract derived from the yellow cold weather flowering bush (tree, bush.. they can get big where i come from) of the same name that is actually used in alot of cosmetics astringents.

MFG recommended cleaner for MAF's is electrical parts cleaner, brake clean can leave a residue, actually brake clean should not even be used on rotors. After refinishing hot water a detergent is recommended, I'll admit though, I use brake clean on used rotors to clean of my greasy finger prints.

I used a little bit of paint thinner on a Q-tip, it worked great, really cut the black grime that was on the wires.

well Oops. my first post was my run-around way of saying i did. i dont know what i was thinking, or if i was at all. i jus knew that wd40 displaced water so i thought i could use it on electrical. i realized right afterwards i shouldnt have. should i use brake cleaner and think that will get rid of whats on there?

After some searching for it in my 95 4.3L CMFI OBD-II and searching at AutoZone.com I come to
the conclusion that I do not have a MAF in my Blazer  Just a MAP sensor.
MAF came 96 with the CSFI fuel system!

That's quite odd.. You have a pic of the motor? If you have a 95 you shouldn't have a MAF sensor, you should only have a MAP sensor..
