ok, i appologize this is a re-post from inside of "got my ravin exhaust". after driving home from work saturday, my SES light come on. code p0141: O2 Sensor heater; Bank 1, Sensor 2. Do you guys think Midas may not have put on my rear O2 into the tailpipe?

It's sure possible, and a quick check

I would run it back into Midas, explain the problem and ask them to pop it on the hoist for you and look.

Ask they if you can see it at the same time just so they don't cover it up with a big bill

Just pop under your truck and see if the sensor is connected ... if not, then go down to Midas and play dumb. See what they say !!!

i got under there since i had the afternoon to do so, bank1 sensor 2 is just after the cat, not the one in the ass end of the tailpipe.... Maybe its just time for a now O2 sensor, i've got close to 64,000mi. Midas quoted $129.00 for replacement. I'll just call a buddy, use his jack stands, put in my own sensor, and have to share a case of beer.

Is the cat hollowed out or is a high flow cat?The reason I ask is because on my truck somebody hollowed out my cat and before I realized it I put new o2 sensors in and it still throws the 141 code.

its the stock cat. i have no idea if the previous owner hollowed it out. Other than taking it off, is there any other way to find out?

in my experience an o2 heater code 9/10 means you need an o2 sensor. its possible the circuit for the heater may have a problem but if you cant see anything blatantly obvious then its probably the o2 sensor. if the cat was hollowed out or not working it would put out a different code, 'catalyst efficiency low'

Opps my bag,Rahx is right. The code I was thinking of is PO420.But this might help ya.When I put new o2 sensors on my truck, the one after the cat had corrosion in the plug and when I pulled it apart the metal pins broke off.Maybe this happened to yours if they pulled it apart.
