Gas Mileage Chart

Here is about 6k miles of gas mileage data. It is from my 91 Mitsubishi Mighty Max (2.4 Liter). The truck has about 100,000 miles on it now. I got it at 91,000 miles and have been measuring the mileage since. About half way through the measured 6k miles, I replaced the fuel filter, had the entire fuel system flushed out, and replaced the aging O2 sensor. It looks to me like the second half of the data shows about a 1 mpg increase. Maybe I'm just imagining it. I won't bother determining it. I'll just say to myself its better after the fuel improvements. Over all, it looks like about 25 mpg. The lowest calculated was 22.9 and the highest was 26.8. Anyone else doing any better? The data is in two columns: total mileage and mpg (for each fill up). If there is a way to post an image, I'll post the real chart.

I have a 94 w/5 speed. Has about 135,000 with only a minor tune-up done. I have been getting about 19-23 MPG, But as high as 27, only on short trips. My problem is I had to change the head (crack between 3and 4 valves) Now the damn thing sucks down the oil, usually a Quart every 250 miles. Didn't burn any oil before. Anybody have any Ideas where to start??? Is a good little truck, much better milage than my Dodge V-10, What a PIG. I only use it to haul a camper and snowplow with...Thanks

a little bit of a hijackin there hlowes.. but when you swaped heads did you use the same head studs? if so that might be why... also you might just check and see if they are still torqued to the right lbft...
