I've done alot of reading and researching on engine swaps and it seems that turboing a non-vtec LS would probably be my best option. I just basically want to know if there is a website that sells all the engine internals (forged pistons, rods, camshafts, valves springs, etc..) that I'll need to prepare the engine before I apply the turbo.

one question. Will the pistons that fit the b18C fit the b18B? Same goes for the camshafts and any other parts that might be for the B18A or B18C.

pistons yes
but due to differnces in motors will throw off your comp ratio.

Cams no.

Are you planning a frankenstien motor or just wondering?

by frankenstein i'm guessing you mean take a peice here and there and just add it. Well I do plan on upgrading everything on this LS motor. I'm trying to get the compression as low as possible for higher boost capability. so far i'm lookin' at a stage 2 or 3 crower cam set and Mahl 9.0/1 powerpak piston set. I heard they work good together but I'll post a complete list of parts when I'm done researching and looking around.

well somewhat I more meant LS/Vtec same thing really.

sure come up with a setup and I'd be happy to rate it and point out any mistakes if some arise

you dont want to go too horidly low even on high boost motors I like around 9.5:1 comp.

well...I was thinking about going LS Vtec but from what I hear there can be too many problems asociated with doing so plus non-vtec is cheaper (way cheaper) and you probably can turbocharge it more than any other B series engine. I've also heard it has more torque then most Honda engines. I would go LSVtec but the end result between a LS Turbo and a LS/Vtec Turbo was like 58 HP.

I'm looking for maybe 350 to 400 HP and from looking around I've found that rebuilding the top and bottom of the B18B then using one of the Stage II kits some of the companies have (RevHard, Greddy, DRAG, TSI, FMAX) I can pull this off with no problem and probably have the engine last me a good while.
