97 SC2 instrument lights

hi, for some reason my instrument lights donts work... well the warning lights i guess...... my gauges will light up and everthing else ...but my high beam light wont come on........ im assuming its just a dead bulb .....are these easy to change ??

not hard for a novice mechanic. pop the top off of the dash, it has two bolts in the front middle for your year i beleave. the rear ward edge is held in by clips you can(carefully) pop off with a srcewdriver. there are three more clips near the base of the windshield. release them by tilting the rear edge of the dash pad up slight then yank it towards you. with any luck you should be able to reach the high beam bulb without removing the whole cluster. twist and remove. if you must remove the cluster,tilt the steering wheel down, remove the trim around the radio/HVAC, then the trim around the cluster, pay attention to any wiring(dimmer switch, defroster, ect)and unbolt the cluster. you shouldn't need to disconnect the wiring to the cluster, so don't. if you have trouble removing the bulb from its holder, i think i remember a small hole on the back side, push the bulb out with a bent paper clip. also remember to make sure you have the right bulb ahead of time, i myself don't mind driving with haft the dash out, but some people do, the bulb should be listed in your owners manual, if it is one of the very tiny bulbs, the part store may have them hidden behind the counter somewhere.

thanks and speaking of lights .... does anyone no why my daytime running lights might not be working i checked all the fuses !!! i hate buying used cars and coming across little things that bother me

do both high beams work? and no DRL operation? make sure the parking brake is off, and you are in gear(have a second person check please) swap the DRL relay with a different idential relay. if the problem follows the relay, replace it. if not, the problem may be related to your high beam indicatior, i would need to consult a wiring diagram.

so can i just use one of the other relays or do i have to find a similar one ..? if so which might that be ? and ya its just no DRL operation both high and low work !
