I am looking into puttin 33x12.5 tires on my 90 4runner 3.0L v6, i was wondering if the gearing needs to be re-done, it has the stock gears. Just tryin to get an idea of pricing and shit before i go and by all the stuff i need. Thanx

OK, "it has the stock gears" doesn't tell us much. Could be 4.10, 4.30, 4.56, or even 4.88.
But typically you don't need to regear for 33's. You'll notice a slight loss of power, but people with the 4 cyl and 4.10's have been doing it for years.
If you really want to, I'd have to have more info on the truck to suggest the proper ratio.

Yea sorry, I have the 4.10 gears. I still want the power...how much would it cost to have the gears re-done?

I went from 4.10 to 4.88 on my Runner, '88 V6-3.0, 5 speed, 33x12.50R15. Plenty of power.

To answer the 2nd part of your question, expect to pay $800-1000 for parts and labor, if you pull the 3rds and carry them in, a lot more if you want the shop to pull them.
