just a heads up, there is a sale at Hobby Lobby this week for 1/3 off paints, and also a coupon that you can print online for 1/2 off all plastic model kits.

XD. No, it's just that the model section doesn't generally sell to well for them, and they get alot of sales when they go on sale, so they do a monthly sale. Or, atleast that's what I think.

Hobby Lobby is an art supply chain in the US.
You have to be living in these states to get the benefit of their sales.

In business, some items generates profit, but some don't. It's a matter of balancing the book, and not about how much they get from each item. I think of model kits as kids' bait, and Hobby Lobby's profit must be coming from other items like fabrics and dry flowers. But they do need a solid chunk of money so that they can purchase more profitable goods. Whatever their business policy is, we, the grown-up kids, can still appreciate their sales. :)

My poor bank account....I wish the local HobbyLobby carried a bigger selection, I'll never be able to take full advantage of this one.

Glad I didn't use the 40% off coupon last week. I figure HobbyLobby was going to offer another one of these soon or later. I think they ususally come around every quarter or so...

It's the internet coupon not the weekly special.
I don't think the link on the Hobby Lobby website is working right now. Most of us got an email with the coupon in it.

I picked up a 1/16th California Charger Dragster last week for 40% off and went today and got a Tamiya Williams F1. I almost picked up the 1/32 f-16. Regular price was $99.99, but it would just sit in the box forever.

LOL, your Hobby Lobby has one of the best selections I've seen (only been there twice though). I've been in 9 of 'em in Atlanta at one time or another, they can be pretty lame to pretty decent (now I only got to a couple that are usually well-stocked). Last time I visited your store (mid July) they seemed current on all the stuff that Hobby Lobby sold at the time. But yes it would be nice if they carried more Tamiya than the few they do, and more import stuff in general. If it's US stuff it's usually there.
Must find a Kubelwagen this week :evillol:
