Canadians! Which Online shop to order from?

I've order from HLJ many times before, and I don't want to pay for the extra custom fee anymore!

Did a search here and read that some people have had good experience with Hobby Search www.1999.co.jp and that the post office won't ask for the custom fee.

Or is there any other online store that I can do pre-order for Aoshima kits from?

Thanks

You should take a look at the ScaleWiki FAQ (http://models.magietec.com/wiki/index.php?title=Where_can_I_buy_model_cars_online% 3F)

You will pay custom even on 1999. Only Raibow10 can mark lower value on the package. There is also scaleracecars.com that can mark lower value, but you will still pay some custom fees.

We are located in BC so you won't pay any customs fees purchasing from us. I bring in shipments from Japan every 45 to 60 days so if you are looking for something specific that we don't have in stock just let us know and we'll bring it in for you.

Hi Turbos86,

We can also bring in JGTC, Le Mans, WRC, MotoGP, import tuners and bikes from Japan and around the world too.

We are in the midst of relaunching a new online shop, but you can call us directly at 604-780-3261 or email us at sales@modelcraftersgp.com or vwu@shaw.ca for stock check, pricing and ordering info.

Happy modeling,

I can vouch for Ron and Vincent. I have ordered from both of them and the service is excellent. I also use www.modelexpress.net who is in BC also.

Ya, I am in Markham, Ontario. I only buy Japanese manufactured kits and accessories from HLJ, HobbySearch, and rainbow ten.,,,,and only rainbow ten can "set" a lower price. But HobbySearch has the point reward programe which is very attractive.

I don't know if this is luck, or a pattern, but of 4 orders from Japan, the 2 from HLJ I was charged custom fees, and the 2 from Hobbysearch I was not charged custom fees. I'm in Edmonton, AB. Plus, Hobbysearch has the 10% off as well as the point system.

IT depend of your country.

In Canada, you have 95% of the chance to pay customs fees.
