So who has the Initial D movie?

I do... I thought it was cool.

The story was odd, if you look at it from somebody who's never watched the anime or read the manga... the story plays out fine. But from a fan perspective it was odd, many missing characters.

The action sequences were nice, very little CG was used as far as I can tell. The production value for the racing was very well done.

It's a fun movie over all, highly recommend it even if it doesn't follow the story fully.

i just ordered the 4th stage actually, the live action movie i got by torrent...im not goin to post the torrent, its against rules i think. the live action movie doesn't go with the story for most part, but its interesting to watch.

Cause Itsuki and Iketani were made into one character...

What we got in the movie was Itsuki being the son of the gas station owner, rather than working there. With a S13... then he wrecks it and gets a AE86. Not an AE85 like in the story.

Like I said, they left out lots of characters... like no Kouichirou Iketani, Keisuke Takahashi, no Kenji, no Shingo Shouji.

To me, it left some holes in the story... but overall it was fun to watch.

I waited for the DVD release, once I knew it wasn't going to be exact... I didn't see the point in Downloading it as soon as it came available.

Plus, I got it for cost too... A friend works for that website.

Interpertation of the story, I guess that's what you could call it. I did like it, but knowing all the things that were wrong or missing kind of ehh I don't want to say Ruined it for me.. but it sorta did.

Still some sweet action in it though!:thumbsup:

Anyone know if they will make a 2nd? They kind of leave you hanging? I mean I already know what happens but if you havent seen the anime then it does.

I saw it, and thought that they over did that movie. Racing was cool, but did you see what that Evo3 was being hauled in? looked like a freaking circus!

wow, you missed good action and some funny moments

the movie wasnt supposed to follow the manga religiously, try fitting thousands of pages of manga/hundreds of minutes of anime into a movie thats only an hour and 45 minutes

hey, do you guys know about the LA Tofu Festival? i heard that they're gonna have a free showing of the inital d movie. they're also supposed to have a lot of other initial d shit like the arcade games, rc cars, n mangas and all that stuff. and i think my friend said that they might have an ae86 on show too. anyone know what's going on???
