Well this year has sucked ass, i had a friend die during the summer in a motorcycle accident, my great g-ma died because she was old (95) and the girl that i have been with and in love with for the past two years had to move away because her grand ma needed to be taken care of....and on top of all that, i'm broke as F%$^....i used to have it good during the summer but i had to sell the camaro to help pay for my g-ma's funeral costs, and had to get a rusty P.O.S. 1988 Buick Century....i get more depressed every day because i miss my girl, and i'm SO SICK OF DRIVING THIS POS EVERYWHERE.....I have the CBR but I had to put that in storage last week because it's starting to get cold.....this sucks so bad having to drive up to somewhere and have people take you seriously when you rolled up in the junk that i have, especially when your friends have nice shit.....that their parents gave them and they didn't have to go through all the shit i did....but nonetheless i realize that life isn't fair and i need to press on...but i still can't get out of this streak of emptyness.....if you guys have any idea on how i can make some money fast, i already have a 7.00 an hour job....the best i can get during the school year.....or how i can shine some light on the FUBAR year i've had?

It may sound silly, but hold on and think positive. Keep focused on your goals and don't waver. Mind over matter. If you wish it, it will come...

lol no shit. I work 48 hours a week, I drive a 92' nissan sentra, I pay $300 rent at my mommies apartment, $200 a month for insurance, upcoming tuition for college, and I have to pay for most of my tools to be a mechanic, AND I lost touch with all my HS friends.
Not to sound like a jerk, but when you do that your just asking someone to challenge you. BTW I'd kill to have a cbr and a car. How much do you pay for insurance?
I'm sorry about the death however, but the girl you'll get over. Just wait it out atleast you know when the weather gets warm you'll be able to ride your bike again. [/bitterness]

Well Mason, i can tell you this....time heals all wounds.. I KNOW that sounds like BULLSH*T...but with death, and woman problems..that's what it takes..time.
Yeah you will ALWAYS look back from time to time, and remember the past..and get depressed, that's normal. As far as the car situation....ouch...i know ALL TO WELL my brother..
Jeez..i'm turning the clock back here... The summer of 2001 i had to get a real beater...it was an 87 chrysler lebaron gts (not the k car/it was a better body style).... This car was horrid. PS a couple months later i rear ended someone on the highway in traffic at like 15mph cause he had no brakelights (and i was tired).... The car was FUGLY after that..but still drove fine.....2 weeks after that, going home after a 14hr shift (being the manager of a retail mall store from 8am-10am wasn't fun) i lost control on black ice and slid into a 30MPH sign, TOTALLY taking that bitch down..lol. The next day i picked her up at the tow depot, drove it home with oil leaking out the pan (the metal from the sign HOOKED in the oil pan) and went to home depot to get something to mend the 4 inch slash in the pan....turns out i got this marine epoxy/boat healer stuff....worked great, lasted the next month....
How can it get any worse..? Well, 2 accidant later...don't forget...the cars front end looks like ASS. I had to literally drill holes in the hood, and rig up high tensile bungee cord hooked in the hood, to the chassis under the radiator. The bumpers was cracked, half off..the headlights i duct-taped in place.....it was comical... BUT, now the worst part... And i'll never, NEVER forget this... I got off work, and wanted to get a coffee..i go to dunkin donuts at like 10:45pm, it was a saturday.... As soon as i arrived, i was like "oh shit"..cause there was a crowd of cute girls/there boy friends etc...... Luck has it, my spot is right in front of them...i parked...they where all laughing at me... Cruel, intentional...man i felt so down... I get back in the car after getting my coffee....and more people leave the store...and as they come out...they where laughing...these where adults also...
I'll never forget that night... I remember it so good cause at that time my mother was in the hospital, i was working 60hrs a week..to help out with rent...now i gotta deal with people laughing at me. BTW i do have friends in which EVERYTHING is paid for....that always gripes my ass..
Sorry for the long reply...

First and most important of all you seem very responsible. I mean i don't know anyone your age paying for a funeral. Not sure why you were the one that had to, but that doesnt really matter. It shows a lot on your part by doing it. I'd advise you to sell the things you don't use much. As much as I'd like to tell you to sell the bike because it would definately give you some much need cashflow, don't. You've obviously had a rough time recently and that is the one thing that you can really enjoy and keep you happy. You can ride around thinking your thoughts to clear your head.
I don't know if you're religious or even if your not check out Joel Osteen. I though he was sort of a fake until I woke up in a very negative mood flipped the tv on and it happened to be on the right channel and the very beginning of his speech. It was as though I was suppose to watch him, so i did. Helped me out so much. Even if your not religious just listen to him as words of encouragement for yourself. I know so many things he's talked about have been exactly the same sort of things that have been going wrong with my life. Yesterday he more or less said throw away all the bad things from your past, the hurt, betrayl and all, and look to the future as a new start to your life.
Stay positive man, and keep your bike until it's a last resort but hopefully it wont be.

Think about this. In a year you probably won't remember all of the bad stuff. Your Grandmothers death and the girl may stick with you a little longer, but it will get easier if you concentrate on the positive. I know about broke and depressed both. Got divorced less than a year ago, worst part is I miss seeing my 2 year old son every day. Sure I get visitation, 2 days a week and every other weekend, but I don;t get to wake up to him whispering in my ear "hey daddy i wanna go play" like I used to. I would give my 99' Jeep Wrangler Sport,94' Z28 and every other thing I own just to have my son with me all the time. To me nobody hurts worse than anybody else, just in different ways. This has been the biggest hurdle in my life so far and I feel like it's making me a better person all the way around. I don't care if your 18 or 27 like me we all have problems, and they effect us in different ways. Live for today because you are not promised tomorrow. This feeling can be temporary if you work through it and try not to hold on to the negative. Listen to MUDVAYNE'S Lost&Found album, its good motivation.
be cool.
