1999 park avenue

i am the owner (for three years now) of a beautiful 1999 park ave. i am concerned though with the way she is running. i have joined this site to learn what is best for my automobile. i need advice on care treatment and the best place to get it.

i live in the north east suburbs, right outside chicago. i will be searching this site for info on a reliable trustworthly mechanic.

pls keep in mind i am not knowlegable when it comes to cars.

i reported to my mechanic that when i made right turns..it squeals. first thing outa' his mouth in reply to the sounds is a belt needed to be replaced. i didnt agree, but what do i know...he ended up replacing the serpintine belt?? didnt work..then he said it was the breaks. uh, no i had those replaced only a year ago and drive maybe 13k a year. its only the right side and under the passenger front wheel...i didnt trust his judgement, but am hesitant to go to anybody! i believe i must have dented something (by going over a curb or such, lol) and its rubbing... please help me.
