Hey. I want to jump my 91 4-door Cavalier over some railroad tracks for a video we're making. More of a commercial really. I want to get about 4 feet of air. The tracks are about 35 degrees. How fast do you think i need to go, and what do you think the after-effects would be? The car is all stock. So let me know. Thanx.

blown shocks, bent frame, busted tires, bent suspension components, death.

don't forget dismemberment!

This is not for the eng/tech forum. Try contacting your local SAG/AFTRA stunt union representative. Stunts require insanely specific ramp angles, breakaway lifts, and safety equipment. Depending on the weight balance of the car, rise of the ramp, parabola of the ramp, suspension of the car, and thousands of other factors, you may have to use spring ramps, breakaway ramps, or one of a thousand techniques to prevent the car from landing on its hood, gas tank, or side.

At any rate, if you decided to do it, use about 20 cameras to make sure you get your shot the first time, because that car won't ever run again, and you might not either :)
