Trying to do a 500 CI swap into my '65 chevrolet and I noticed that the Oil pan on the 500 from the Seville that I got was a front sump pan. I hear that the eldorados have a rear sump pan and pickup that just bolt right on.
Does anyone have any information on the years that these come off of? If they come from the FWD cars? and does anybody have one?

Could a mod actually move this to the eldo forum?

You can use the Eldorado pans from any 472, 500 or 425 from 1968-1978. Another option would be the mid sump pans from the 425's used in the Devilles and Fleetwoods from 1977-1979. This pan works for most RWD applications and is much easier to find than the Eldorado pans.
