Hi .... am about to purchase my first M3 (2006 convertible), and am debating whether to take the GPS Nav option. I am OK with the price but have been looking for feedback on ergonimics (usability) and accuracy. Any insights to offer me?
Thanks in advance!!

They are pretty accucrate, but as many tims as you use it is it really worth getting it as an extra? For example how many times a year do you go somewhere and not know how to get there? Adverage person maybe 2-6 so whats cheaper, a map or a nav system?

I would, many who have had the opportunity to purchase NAV and don't often look back only to wish then had. If I were in your boat I would come up with the funds to do so......

I'm kicking myself in the arse right now 'cause I didn't order it, and I'm in the process of doing a retrofit, which is a PITA,... - I say take it, you can't regret it!

I have an 04 with Nav. It's a cool gadget but I'm not sure that I'd get it again. I think the technology needs a little work before it's really useful. For some reason, it doesn't always locate the destination street that I'm looking for so I end up switching to map mode without directions. It also sends me on some really indirect routes. You can mess with route selection but it's kind of difficult to deal with in heavy traffic. Programming a destination takes a while too. That being said, I use it about once a week.
