I have a 93 dodge spirit that the temp climbs very high till the therm opens the first time then it is fine. If i rev the motor with the radiator cap off the water level drops dramatically. Is this caused by an air pocket and if so is there a trick to getting rid of it? Is there anything else that would cause this problem.
Flushed system and replaced therm
thanks in advance

probably not enough collen in the system or a huge air pocket here is what to do
drain your system..... fill it...... let the engine run till the therm stat opens and then add collent till it is full. keep engin running untill it stops bubbleing and there appears to nice and smoothly flowing.
