Hello,
I have a question about 96 Windstar...I was disconnecting the battery before replacing the starter in the van, but by mistake I started disconnecting the positive cable first and touched the tool to body and it sparked. Then just to make sure that it did not blew any fuse(s), I started the van with the old starter in, and it started...Then I carefully disconnected the negative followed by the positive cables from the battery...then I replaced the starter....Now the problem is the engine cranks but it does not start...So to further pinpoint the problem, I check two of the six spark plugs and none of them sparking when the engine cranks...the check engine light stays OFF all the time...it should turn on when I put the key and turn it to battery ON position...but it's not...Any idea(s) on how to fix this problem would be appreciated...

Run a check on all under hood fuses, especialy the higher amp fuses
