97 ignition/emission problems

Im trying to figure out whats wrong with my moms 97 bonne, the check engine light is on and flashes and the car feels like its misfiring, replaced plugs, wires, coils, and ignition module and the problem still exsists...any ideas??

First of all did you scan it to see which cylinder is misfiring or if it is multiple random misfires? A code would help to determine the problem. Second, how many miles? Lastly, what size engine?

Although you have replaced everything on the ignition side that may have gone bad. I would check the injectors next as one or more may have gone bad. If you find that one cylinder is misfiring then change the injector with one from another cylinder. If the code changes then you have solved your problem and it can be cured by changing out the bad injector. If it continues to be random then you may need to replace all of them. A new fuel filter may help some and also check the fuel pressure at the regulator. IF it is too low it can cause misfires. Low fuel pressure can indicate either a bad regulator or a bad fuel pump. its a 3800 non supercharged, aprox. 94000 miles, also havent had codes read, i dont have a code reader and cant get it to any mechanic in its current running condition. I do remember however that my mom had some kind of work done with fuel injectors in the past but im not sure if they were all replaced or just one of them. So injectors are my next move, will update after i try that..thanks much
