The other day my front AC of my 97 Windstar 3.8 stopped cooling , turn it to max and the highest fan speend and nothing, very little air was barely blowing out. Then i turned on the rear unit ,and it worked just fine. Then later that night the front Ac started working again, but this morning it worked for a while then gave out again...just wondering if this is something I could fix myself, maybe a rellay or something else...any help would be very helpful...THANX

Welcome tatmisfit.
Help us here,
1. Drive the car when it's hot.
2. Open the hood, get out and tell us . . .
A. IS there a cold, sweating 1/2" dia tube under the hood? On the passenger side???
If yes.
Fix is cheap. You have a "vaccume leak to the front vents, don't pay more than $100.00"
If not tell us more.

got the problem checked and it seems there is no power from the switch to the front blower, so now its an electrical problem....could it be the switch or maybe the relay, ?????????

Who checked the problem? Is there power to the switch? Is this a new problem? I don't remember if the fuses were checked. The relay may be under the dash on the drivers side. Check the fuse/relay cover for location of the heater/air relay (that is if there is one). Is the rear AC working? ( I take it that it is because you say that the front isn't) On my 95 I had/have problems in my fuse/relay block with corrosion. Pull each relay and make sure the pins and the sockets that they go in are clean.
