RB25 Neo on ER34 is non turbo.

RB26DETT is definately better than RB25.

Not quite right, the RB25 NEO is available in de (non-turbo) and det (turbo) form. Here's Nissan's press release that mentions it about half way down: http://www.nissan-global.com/GCC/Japan/NEWS/24b6.htm

JGTC, the NEO is listed factory at 280ps (276hp), which is the same as the factory listing of the GTR, but that really doesn't mean anything, because the figures were all listed so they wouldn't be higher then 280, even though the output is.

The fact is, the RB25DET is a strong motor, it is closely capable with the RB26 if it's tuned properly. But not as capable of the extremely high hp figures an RB26 can be tuned for. The RB25's downfall is it's higher compression ratio (9:1), which can be resolved by proper tuning again.

Well, yes there is RB25DET. I thought the first question was just he wanted to know the difference between ER34 and BNR34.

Nissan has definately made a great difference between Skyline and Skyline GT-R, as you know.

In Japan, Japanese manufactures agreed to produce vehicles 280ps or under to avoid making people tempt drive too fast on public road. They are discussing to cancel the agreement because people drive too fast anyway.

There is a definate difference between the two models I mentioned. I would strongly recommend to go for turbo model, if you can afford.

O, sorry guys didn't mention it proper. I should say I wanted to buy a skyline, and there is a ER34 RB25DET Neo automatic on sale. I just don't really know should I go for this car or wait for another manual model. Also should I keep on this RB25DET Neo or transfer a RB26DETT.

My Opinion go for the 5 mission. Chances are you 'll want it before it's said and done. I'm happy with my RB25DET and it's a series one. I would love to get the NEO or even better a R34 GT-R

Guys, need help. Anyone knows that can the RB26DETT twin turbos and it's manifold fit direct into a RB25DET Neo? Wish to exchange my single turbo to the twin turbos version. I mean not the RB26DETT engine itself, just the turbos.

Great thanks,

Great thanks,
if i remember correctly only the RB20 and RB25 manifolds are compatible. so no they wont fit without a custom manifold as i dont think there is a twin manifold produced for the 25 by anyone
