Well I had motor problems in my 1996 ford winstar 3.8 and I had a new motor put in. Well car wants to die when you come to a stop. So was told it needed a new idle control valve so I replaced it. Then was told to check the mas air flow so I had it changed and had a psv vavle put on. Now had codes ran and said misfire on #5. Had plugs and wires changed and still misfire on #5 and suggestions. Thanks. And car still dies when stoped. Van is also idleing bad.

Missfire on cylinder #5, new plugs & wire....same failure.... each coil in the coil pack fires 2 spark plugs.....is still possible that one end could be arcing to ground. Other thing to check is the fuel injector for cylinder #5. Possible dirt on spray end, or electrical connection. I would solve the misfire first......and see if that solves the other problems.

Well I took it to someone to look at it I think I got a bunch of bull cause he told me the 5 cell was bad. But that doesn't make since before I changed spark plugs and wires i had to codes come up bad. But since I changed the iac and the maf I have had the code come up as misfire on 5. So I should clean the plug wire is that what you said. I am not good with cars so I dont understand what cell to cell is or what you said to clean sorry.
