Classic as daily driver

i'm considering buying a 1951 Packard 300, and intend to use it as a daily driver in new york.
i drive about 4000 miles per year.
the car is restored to mint.
does anyone know if this is unwise? is it practical to drive on parkway at 60+ mph? ok in winter? too prone to theft? can i expect it to be reliable? anything else i'm not considering?

It's a 1951 Packard... I would imagine if you drive it even 4000 miles you're going to run into some problems, especially on the highway and especially during winter. A car that old you have to expect stuff to go wrong or break. I recommend it as a sunday driver and get a different winter beater, especially since you're going to want to keep that classic car mint for resale purposes, if not that just to keep it looking nice.
