I am installing a new front bumper filler panel but I can`t see how to loosen the headlights. Can someone tell me where the headlight hold down bolts are located. `87 Chev. Caprice.
Thanks.

There are three studs on the back of the headlight assembly that are accessible from under the hood. You'll have to take the battery out to get to the right side one. You'll see access holes in the radiator support (tear-shaped) that you can get to these nuts. You will need an 11mm socket, extensions, and a ratchet handle. Good luck!
Now, if you're talking about the urethane strip that goes between the fiberglass header panel and the bumper, you will need to remove the header panel as the bolts that hold this strip on are vertical and through the bottom of the strip. The urethane strip also mounts vertically to each fender using sheet metal screws with 7-mm heads on them - you will need to remove these screws also (you get to them from under the bumper).
There are approx 14 bolts (13-mm head) that hold the header panel to the body - two through the grille, 4 on each side (two close to the edge of the fender, two on the radiator support) and 4 on top. As with the headlight, you will need to remove the battery to get to the right-side bolts.
