Hello,
I'm new to this forum but find it interesting.
I just bought a 95 WStar a few days ago and am delighted so far.
It has a 3.8L/V6 and is a GL.
I have an opportunity to purchase a 96 WStar GL as a "parts" vehicle.
The motor is blown but nothing else is really wrong with it except
it is 240k mileage. But for $300 I thought it would be a smart buy,
especially since the transmission was replaced @ 180k mi. and it has a 3.8L/V6 as well.
I'd appreciate any advice or imput anyone might have. What little research I've done seems to indicate that most of the parts should be compatible.
Thanks in advance.

Seems like a good idea. I'd bet it would pay for itself easily even with minor repairs. You also could part it out on ebay and make your $ back quickly. Most parts for my 98 3.8L are listed as "95-98".

Except for the engine the 96 is a twin to the 95 so it would be a good investment.
