My friend has a 2000 Windstar that keeps blowing the overdrive fuse. Anyone ever see this or know what might cause this. Tranny seems to work fine except it can't be kicked out of O/D manually.

Nice to see a familiar username from the Nissan forums.
Might help to list out what else is on this fuse. It's fuse 14 10A -
Autolamp Sensor, Transmission Overdrive
Cancel Switch, Front Electronic Module,
Compass Module, Electrochromatic Mirror,
Power Sliding Door Overhead Console
Switch

Just for fun, and to satisfy the curiosity of an old man, if the OD switch is on the end of shifter, look at the wiring to see if it is chafed. You can see the wiring if you remove the steering column trim covers. Not familiar with windstar other than looking through manuals.

Nice to see you have good taste in forums :iceslolan and thanks for adding the extra info. I wasn't sure about the fuse Number and acording to him it had nothing else list on it except for O/D.
As far as shaffing is concerned, I'm pretty sure he checked, but I'll confirm.

I checked with my friend and he said there is another fuse that is poping. Sorry, he told me which but I can't remember the fuse #. It controls the Radio and AC (possibly 18?). He says his wife noticed it was still working when she parked the van and it was poped the next morning when she first started it. He also says that it looks like the that front electronic module has a wire from each of the circuits going to it. Would anyone know exactly what that module controls?
BTW the only thing used out of the list given by lewisnc100 is the front electronic module and O/D cancel switch.
Again this is a 2000 Windstar.
Thank you,
Denis

We could do better if we knew the number(s) of the fuse(s).
My wild guess would be #10. It feeds a number of things. And it often pops when the brake pressure switch begins to fail.
