Service ride control?change Oil Light

I've got a 1993, mint condition STS with 60K on it. Love the car but looks like my sensors have gone out in the ride control. Someone told me you can disable the sensors all together and set the car on a medium ride. Right now the ride is a bit hard! Otherwise I'll have to replace the sensons at 450$ a pop!

Also, I had the oil changed but the idiots at Jiffy Lube forgot to reset the "Oil Life Index" so...evrytime i get in it says change oil soon. ANyone know how to do it...can't find my manual!

Check with Boston Suspension for passive strut replacement kits. They also sell the parts to bypass the ride control message. You might also want to check with your Cadillac dealer for a bypass relay harness for the ride control message. On my '94 Deville I installed a GM bypass relay for the message, so it doesn't come up anymore. I also installed passive struts and shocks, so the ride is much better now! They were pretty bad after 115k miles!
For the oil change message, scroll through the DIC until it reads the oil life percentage. Then hold down the "reset" button. It should list the percentage as "xxx". Hold until it resets back to 100.

What exactly do you mean? The bypass relay harness I was mentioning is around $20 if it's available for your car.

No, when the system is bypassed, or malfunctions, it defaults into the firmest mode. So the struts will be firmer than if the system was active. There are two different passive struts that those two companies sell. One is a standard ride, the other is a luxury ride. I put the standard ones in my '94 Deville and it does ride a bit firmer than before. So if you're looking for the smoothest ride, I'd go with the luxury struts.
