Will Denali grill fit in Sierra grille's place?

I have a 2001 GMC Sierra and I want to put the Denali looking grille insert on my truck. I have been looking at the inserts and the hole sizes on the aftermarket stuff aren't as appealing as the stock Denali's.
I was wondering if I could take a new Denali grille and just put it in place with my stock Sierra grille (that whole front grille from one headlight to the other headlight, not just the insert, to avoid any cutting)? Or any suggestions on a different approach about going at this? And how much cutting and fabricating would be involved?

I tried this unfortunately its just slightly different
and the kicker is the grill insert is fused plastic
almost impossible to take out of the assembly damn.

I asked the parts dept guy the same thing and he said no way. Slightly different shape. Thought he was full of it till I looked at a Denali next to a regular Sierra and could see where he was right.

I have a 2002 sierra and I installed a factory denali grille. The only difference is the headlamp housing ends of the grille, whitch can be removed and replaced with your original ends. The center yoke is the same as long as you use the same year.
