Very frustrated, been workin on this thing for three weeks...
Bronco runs fine, park it, 2 days later it wont start... ok.. So I pull a spark plug wire and test for spark.. nothing.. replace coil.. nothing replace the ICM "Ignition Control Module".. nothing (big pain), replace the pickup coil.. nothing (bigger pain), now I am very confused as to why there is no spark... I get 12 volts at the coil plugin but not at the coil wire "nipple"? should I be getting 12 volts at the coil wire?
thanks for any advice...
oh yeah... it's an 87' 2.9 litre 4wd...

You should be getting alot more than 12 volts out of the coil wire.

If you have voltage at one end of the wire, but not the other, the problem might be the wire itself....swap it out and see what you get...(It's worked for me several times...I raped two Tempos for their coil wires, in my Truck's lifespan.)
