hey, im 15 yrs old, and work 2 jobs over the summer, and id like to get a late 80s early 90s Bronco(buying with my own money), i no they are not gas savers, which is a down set, but i still like the TANK size of them. i love the look, and the room inside. i do alot of extreme sports, so i need a SUV to haul my stuff around.

I have some questions..

1. what should i know about these years of broncos?
2. are they hard to work on for a kid that has little experience on working on cars?
3.What are good websites to buy parts for them?
4. what are some good manuals on taking care of, and doing work on Broncos of this year.

Thanks

First it is nice to see someone working hard for there first vehicle.
Yes, the bronco is a great truck if you are into "extreme" sports, i think it will do you just fine. You say that you have no experience working on cars, these are easy to work on. they sit high up so you can get under them easy, and the older you go, the more simple they are. I would start by checking out fourms just like this one here, and listen to what people from all over have to say. You will hear about all the "common" problems that they have, and hopefully how to fix them. I would start looking, and try to find one in good shape. A vehicle from the 80s-90s that has been kept up well will have hopefully less mantinence than one that has been abused. As far as parts, junk yards are great, check Bronco Graveyard, or places like that. As far as a book, the hayns manuel from your local parts store will work wonders. Good Luck!!!
