Recently my mom's 85 Olds has been shifting in and out of O/D.....is it the tranny going or isn't there some sensor that I can't think of the name of a person could change first and see if that's the problem? Cheaper solutions first and work our way up. The body is in pretty good cond. for its age and hates to give it up. We all love the older, bigger cars that were basically (most of the time) easier to work on! Thanks for any help!

No, this is still a RWD.......does this make a difference, I am hoping? Of course, with almost 150,000, it prob is inevitable!

Since you posted in a Olds Ninety Eight Forum, the 1985 year was a FWD design.
Delta 88 started FWD in 86
