Greetings everyone!
I just got a used 3.0L X5 with 70,000 miles. A bit too much mileage but I'll be using it for only 1 year 1/2 and I'll be upgrading again afterwards.
My question is..what size wheels do the 4.4L X5 come with? To me it seems like the 4.4L has bigger and wider wheels than the skinny pathetic ones the 3.0L has..the 4.8L has HUGE wheels which I think are too wide..however the info on bmwusa.com is that the 3.0L and the 4.4L have the same size wheels
I'm thinking of buying the star spoke 87 which are the oem 20" stock wheels..would this fit on the 3.0L..will it cause any problems?
ALSO! I love the dual exhaust for the 4.4L..can I convert my 3.0L like that or is that too much work? Thanks!

I have seen plenty of X5 3.0's with 20" wheels. You will, no doubt, get a stiffer ride. There are conversions exhausts where you can add the quad pipes, ie the 4.4, or just a larger more performance enhanced dual exhaust by ac schintzer. I say go for the ac schnitzer upgraded exhaust for a little more money your get a better sound and a little more performance value than the stock duals.
