Hey guys, I wanna make a CD but I can't really remember too much music from the 90s... all I really remember are like STP and The Smashing Pumpkins... Just wanted to know what y'all thought were the best songs of the 90s.

I remember when that came out, mid-late '97 I think. Man, my mate got the single, and we listening to it so much. I had an end-of-primary school party, and that song got played on the big stereo about 60 times, man, good times.

Days of the New-Shelf In The Room and Touch, Peel, and Stand
Deftones-Changes
Eve 6- Inside Out
Green Day- Dookie Album
Nirvana
Silverchair-Tomorrow
Sublime
Better Than Ezra-Good and Desperately Wanting
Blind Melon-No Rain
Butthole Surfers-Pepper(definate classic!)
Candle Box-Far Behind
Dishwala-Counting Blue Cars
Gravity Kills-Guilty
Seven Mary Three-Cumbersome

Those should get all of your minds refreshed and thinking

let's not forget Garbage. i can't even remember the names of most of their songs, but they were pretty big in the mid-to-late '90s too.

also Pearl Jam - Jeremy. it's one of the only songs i like by them.

and i hate to say it (because i HATE U2 with a passion), but U2's Joshua Tree was a pretty big album as well. also, later Depeche Mode? that's borderline rock...but still, pretty big. and let's not forget Blur's Song 2, one of the classics of my generation.

Yes, Garbage rules. Push It, Queer, Only Happy When It Rains, Stupid Girl, etc - all great :D

Jeremy is borderline good. Even Flow is the only Pearl Jam song I claim to like. It's not just good for Pearl Jam, it's just plain kickass

Finally, I'll agree with you again - I fucking hate U2.

but I won't deny their significance.
