whats the difference between the apexis-afc II and XFC - Xtended Fuel Controllers? the sites for the xfc is http://www.powertraincontrolsolutions.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=22. are any of these any good. any other suggestions?

from what i can see, the XFC is more of a full controll piggy bank that needs a lap top to tune. it appears to be able to tune the injectors more accurately then the safc. not to mention the safc is only limited to tuning injectors that are 50% larger then stock. the SAFC will probrably be the easier one to use. the safc is the type that will alter fuel flow by converting the voltage coming from the air flow meter. the XFC unit seems to have its own dedicated control module that can alter the fuel curve on its own, and even have sensor that can compensate for the fuel pressure.

i don't think i would even attempt to tune the XFC, but its pretty easy to tune the safc as long as you have a wideband 02 sensor.

lol piggy bank....

XFC looks like another wanna-be-standalone piggyback. I don't see how you woudl spend that kind of money on a piggyback that requires a computer to tune when you could do an ECU tune and have base maps that are correct.
