Who would take it in a 1/4 from a stop? From a 20mph roll?
In a 1/8 from a stop? From a 20mph roll?
What about in some random curvy track 1 mile long?

The 6m Z28 would win in all the acceleration categories no matter from a roll or stop, it will win from the start and hold all the way through and likely keep pulling. Around a curvy track the Z28 is no slouch but I think the Z may have an edge, although it would be close due to the Z28 would still pull out of turns hard.

The Z28 has it won in the acceleration tests. Around the "curvy track", it depends what kind of curves. I think I'd give a slight edge to the Z28, but it takes a skilled driver to push that car to its limit in the turns.

The Z28 will win all of them except in the twisties. The Z wouldn't kill but take the Z28 there.

Seriously doubt the 350z's "slightly" better handling would make up for the 30-40 + hp and 60+ lb ft. of torque advantage the Z28 has.
And if you say.."well the 350 has 287 hp and the Z28 has 310, why did you say 30-40 hp more!?!?" And to that I answer what most people know but the LS1's put in Camaro's are basically the EXACT same engine put in the Vette's rated at about 350 hp. Most people dyno bone stock LS1 Z28's around 300 whp STOCK...
Also the average LS1 Camaro is in the mid 13's stock whereas the average 350Z is in the low 14's stock. And after a 1/4 mile the Camaro is going to keep pulling away from the 350Z... Also, the 350Z only weighs a little over 100 pounds lighter than the LS1 Camaro.

like someone said, depends on the kind of curvy track. on a long curvy road...Z28, the Z's lack of power wont be able to keep up with it on the straighter parts. on a small road course with alot of sharp turns, 350Z.
it also depends on what model Z your talking about...a base model Z will probably get smoked in all categories...due to its lack of LSD, bigger wheels, stickier tires, wider tires...and there are probably alot of other things that would help a performance or track model Z perform better. im not too up-tp-date on my 350Z facts but i know the thigns i listed above are right.

I honestly believe that a Camaro SS would handle better than a 350Z Track (best of both models), on almost any curvy road. But again, the Camaro is certainly much harder to drive to its fullest extent.

I'd have to see it to believe it...

yeah, that is my thoughts exactly.

i second that. ls1 in every category except for tight road course. if its long decently straight sweepers, then the LS1 still.

As far as acceleration goes the Z28 will own the 350Z in every category, the LS1 has an awesome top end coupled with more than enough low end grunt. I'd even venture to say that LT1 Camaros can hang with 350Zs stock for stock. As mentioned the LS1 in the F-bodys were underrated, I've heard of dynos as high as 315rwhp stock. On a track, I don't know, I'd say it's a toss up.
