worst part of my life

Okay so it started last Friday. My mom passed away fighting cancer for the second time. I was sitting right next to her when it happend. So saturday im driving to the mall to get some clothes for the funeral when i get pulled over. The cop comes up and immediatly says, "your tint is illegal rip it off". He then asks me if i know the speed limit, which i said was 30, "know how fast you were going?". I honestly wasnt paying attention to my speed so i said, " im not sure i wasnt paying attention". He said he got me at 42. So i had to rip the tint off to avoid a ticket for that and i still got a speeding ticket for $105.

Now since my mom didnt have a will the state is going to take away her car. Which my sister uses to get to school and work. They are also going to take everything in her bank accounts. That is just stupid.

Worst damn week of my life.

I'm sorry for your loss. Cops can be real dickheads sometimes. This sounds horrible but you should have played pitypoints with the cop. Where were you that 5% tint is too dark? just wondering. Just keep rollin and just remember "This too shall pass"

It makes it worse that i didnt live with my mom. When i was 16 my mom and sister moved about 30 miles away and i moved in with my grandparents. I did that so i could finish HS at the same school and not live so far away from all my friends. So i didnt get to see her much. But last thursday when i got off work i went down to her place to be with her. We knew she wouldnt make it much longer so i had to get in all the time i could.

I feel asleep sitting on the floor right next to where she lay and was awaken by a noise which i would realize was her last breath....

Hang in there dude. Talk to a lawyer about your Mom's stuff, he may be able to keep the state from getting all of it.

Are you sure that it isn't just going over to probate court due to lack of the will? Doesn't mean the state gets it all, just means the court has jurisdiction over the properties to determine disbursement after debts paid.

My sympathies go out to you and your family. I agree with consulting a lawyer. even if you cannot afford one, many offer a free 1st visit consultation. you can at least pick their brains and ask for advice.

I'm really sorry. Hang in there though, things will turn up. The government is bullshit for doing that.

Actually, if possible try and talk to a lawyer. There could be something that can be done so the govt. won't take anything.
