AMT/Model King Gremlin modified. I must say, I really don't know much about these type of racing cars. So, any ideas and comments are appreciated.

I have bee considering trying this kit. How's the fit? I have seen a lot of decals on ebay for different drivers for this kit.

The fit is ok so far. There is alot of mold lines on alot of the parts. Other then that, normal clean up. There are some notches for the pieces to fit into, othewise, it just takes being carefull getting the tubes to line up properly.

The AMT Gremlin (as well as the Mustang, 40 Ford Coupe, 36 Plymouth, and 37 Chevy) modifieds are all based upon Tobias chassis modifieds as raced on midwestern American short tracks (usually asphalt) in the 60's and 70's.
They represent very typical modifieds with cut-down small car bodies over tubesteel frames. The suspensions were typically four link solid axle setups, with either torsion bars or coil-over shocks.
Many of America's great drivers of the 60's and 70's drove modifieds (and their wilder cousins, supermodifieds). A brief sampling of these drivers include......
