Hey guys I am trying to figure out if I am waisting my time even looking but need to know. My wife's rodeo is the little rat bastage 4 banger with auto tranny base level pakage. I wanted to know if there is anything aftermarket wise I could look at adding to increase the pep and gallons per minute ratio? I was thinking if available adding a header, intake, and if it exist exauhst...Now I am not looking by any means for speed or euro style just alittle kick to take off the turttle mode.

Yep a 4 cly in a full SUV is not a good match.
the 2.2L is a GM product so you should hit up the Chevy/Saturn sites.
Intake and muffler will yeild a couple extra HP, but will not increase the MPG (it will probably will go down in the city and slightly up on the highway).
The main thing that is killing the MPG is the wieght of the truck and the aerodynamics.

There really isn't any bollt-on accessory out their for this particular engine except for maybe a generic clamp-on cone air filter (eBay). The 1998-2003 rodeo 2.2L is reportedly a GM design that was used only in the rodeo/holden equivelant and daewoo leganza. Unfortunately it's not the same as the chevy S-10 truck 2.2L, the FWD cavalier 2.2 or the new ecotec 2.2 FWD that GM is putting in everything including saturns. Make sure to check/change your timing belt every 30-40K miles!
