Hello all, I have a 99 ZX2 w/auto. I purchased this car at auction with no prior knowledge of its history. I have everything fixed but the A/C. There is no power at the compressor. With the engine running and AC switch on there is 13.5 volts at the low pres. switch at the receiver/drier and the switch checks ok. I made a jumper to the compressor wire harness and it kicks in and works fine and the R134a gauges show the refrigerant level is right on the money. Am I overlooking something simple or is this thing wired through the OBD-II system?
Any and all comments, remarks, and help on what to look for and where to look for it at are greatly appreciated.

It may have a high pressure switch as well...

I also have the same problem but it turned out to be the relay to the compressor. I can send you the A/C wiring diagram if you like that may help you.

Mine is doing the same thing, new CCRM is on the way :-D
EDIT one day later: I got the new CCRM today, and it works. It was so nice to feel that compressor kick on for the first time(It hasn't worked since I got the car).

My compressor quit working also. If I put power directly to it it comes on and the a/c blows cold. What is this CCRM and where does it go?

The cooling fan is controlled by the PCM and/or the Constant Control Relay Module (CCRM), when the EEC detects certain temperatures it will switch the fan to either it's low or high speed settings. The A/C will turn the fan to high speed when it is set to max. Not sure where it is located on the engine you can call a ford dealer and ask service or parts where it is located. Hope this helped.

on my 99 zx2 it happens every two years.the ccr.module is mounted under the battery.
