Stretching Exhaust Tips to fit outlet

I recently purchased a Borla Muffler and exhaust tip. THe exhaust tip is the same size as the outlet and will not slip over it. Is there any way that an exhaust shop can make it fit? Here are the pics.

Piece of cake. They will put it on an expanding mandrel and bump it out to fit... The only possible problem will be the funkie slot which may cause the pipe to go crooked. They will probably want to trim the pipe off and expand it on the un-notched portion.
Another option would be to use an adapter coupling. Your muffler will slip inside the large end and the smaller end will go inside the tip.
Or... :uhoh: Have the tip expanded to slip over the muffler pipe...
There are a number of options as you can see so take it in and have a shop look at it.

there are even adapters where both parts go inside the the adapter and you just clamp it on both ends. Go the exhaust aisle at any auto parts store, you'll see how much there is to solve problems like this.

I believe that groove is there so you can bend the pipe in so that it will fit inside the other pipe.

Thanks for the replies all. Good to hear I won't have to return the tips.
