Top speed of a Integra?

Do you guys know the top speed of a 1996 Acura Integra LS Manual?

From past experience... I would say about 138

138 MPH top speed? The fasted I gotten up to was 125 MPH and it barely wentn up any faster.

i read that the approx. top speed of a car is: go in your last gear, get half way to you redline, then multiply that speed by 2.

Ive got mine on the other side of 130 to about 133 but it was still climbing very slowly. My guess is 135-138 mph sounds about right.

your speedo can be significantly off at that speed.

has anyone used gps?

I used GPS on Mine one time up to 130, My speedo seemed to be right on with the gps. I was going to save it and show my friends, but i accidently erased it.

I wish I would have had GPS in my accord when I my speedo showed 130(governor should have kicked in by then). I just figured your integra speedos would be a little generous. I guess not.

So, as of now we have an official speed of 130 mph. Make sure you mention if the car is stock or if you have put new wheels on it etc.

The only bolt on I have on my Integra LS is a short ram intake other then that the car is completely stock. I have the hubcaps and not the ls rims.

So what is it cool to see how fast your car can go. In a stock ls, only intake its going to take a while to get up to the high 120+. I really dont understand the point. Its dangerous considering the distance needed to get your car that fast so why? Unless your in a secluded road where there are no people. Then you might have to worry about animals.
Remember most of the time your first instinct when something comes in the road-- is to swerve and at 110mph! ouch!
I should know. I hit a racoon at 90mph (late at night coming from a friends) and didnt swerve at all but hit it so fast it spun me out! And it was either the median or the ditch those were my choices. Median was the best since it was a deep ditch on the highway! Basically 90mph (both bags deployed, front end wrecked, timing jumped, a/c condensor leaked, etc, etc...

Im just trying to make my point that wanting to know how fast your car and even trying it is really immature. I feel i matured like 10 years after this experience. (Nothing can describe, spinning out at 90mph And side swipping the median at ~50mph, wheels going forward while im spinning backwards!, wrecking car, getting it towed home, and than explaining to my mother the next morning)Just think to realize is getting somewhere like 2 min faster really worth going 20mph faster and risk life??

i found a site that said the newer GS-R's are governed at 130 mph. I can't find it again, but i remember it saying 130mph.

Well... you probably don't want to go over 130 unless you are modded. Talking about suspension too. At those speeds, the stock suspension is not the best, although it's better than a lot of other cars.

I tried out that whole getting in like 5th gear and going 1/2 your rpm. My car will do 8500 rpm.. but i just rounded it to 8000 for mathematical purposes. so at 4000 rpm i was going 90 mph.. Does that mean if i had the power i could potentially do 180mph!! That is bad ass.. It makes sense too. What do you guys think?

Yeah I take my Integra at those speeds in a pretty empty highway. But yeah you're right going that fast is pretty dumb and immature. Well I m justing wondering what the top speed is. I only went 125MPH like once and usually I don't drive faster than 80.

142 (according to the inaccurate reading of my speedo, so prolly around the 130's) in my gsr w/ just i/h/e/clutch and some suspension stuff.

open I5 up to canada...fun eh?

i have a jdm sir which is same as the gsr

only mod was type r flywheel and exedy stage1 clutch and a pexi vafc and rsm so i am taking my speed reading from the RSM, also have full stainless system from header and cold air intake but it hasnt been dyno tune yet so only difference it makes is the torque really!

i got 232kph which is around 145mph and it was at over 6000rpm but it was still reving and accelerating, i would have got more i think!not much but a little!and it was 3 of us in the car, dont know if the weight makes any difference!

Man, That was not cool to go that fast with other people in the car. Granted you should not go that fast at all... but with other people is crazy dude. If you are going to go that fast then atleast do it alone and try to do it when there are no other cars.

i've had my 95 ls @ 151 using GPS...(no bullshit) w iceman int., sknk2 man., greddy headr, greddy exhst, race cat. msd ign.. fuel pump., fuel pres. reg,& inj....no internal mods...

oh yeah... for all of the MATURE ones out there....yeah,,, it was an empty road w/ noone in the car... if i were to wreck... its my life... right!!!

I've done 125 in my 91 ls completely stock at 4 am just north of austin in the hill country. Great place for fast driving. no cops...or people

me and my friend hit right at 150 in his super 60 turbo ls swapped hatch...turbo with ls tranny ...perfect ...and for all of u who whine about ppl going fast it was behind a warehouse where i work on a 3 mile stretch of dead end road... about the same possibility of someone walking out in front of u on a drag strip or an auto x track

you guys are all talkin mph, i live in canada, so i dont kno my mph, but ive hit 211 without my intake or muffler,(i kno mufflers dont do anythign for power, intake made a hell of a diff tho) but i wasnt revving to high at 211kph, jus tno more power left
