I have a 69 deville with a 472. Someone removed the smog pump so there's no way to tighten the belt between the crank and water pump. Anyone delt with this before?

Can you post a picture??
Lots of these cars did not come with smog pumps, (such as all the Canadian ones.) They would have used adjustable PS pumps and alternator brackets to provide tension.
Is there a way you can run a belt around these to provide tension?
If you need a longer belt, industrial supply places can supply you with pretty much any length and width of belt that you need.

Have you tried running one belt from the crank, waterpump to the P.S. pump. Then one around the crank, waterpump and alternator? I think that's how I used to have it set up on my old 500's.
