AC problem w/ 93 Silo

I've got a 93 Silhouette w/ 3800 V6. We just experienced our first 70+ degree day. WHen I went to turn the AC on, nothing but luke warm air. It's an 134a system, FYI
So, I went out and bought one of those AC charging kits with the gauge to measure pressure. The instructions said to hook it up to the low pressure side. It should be a no brainer, as the hose only mates (i.e. fits on) with one connection on the vehicle, so I would assume it is the low side. It was located up above and to the left a bit of the dryer (big can).
THe pressure I measured on there was way into the red according to the gauge, something like 110psi.
Any ideas what is going on here?
Also, anyone want to buy a 93 w/ 112k miles in Iowa? :)

Hello! What I would do,Is take your gauge and hook up to low pressure side,Dont even hook a can of refridgerant to the other end.Make sure valve is closed(turn valve clockwise).Start engine,And turn A/C to max cold.Take note of what the outside air temp is when you are doing this.If it is 70f outside gauge should read 35-40 psi.Is your compressor kicking in when you turn A/C on?Let me know what you come up with.I have to go to store and get food for my wifes stupid cats!! Get back with you later...Diesel 1962
