89 Jetta noisy when changing gears

Now that I think I have the clutch figured out on my 89 Jetta (5spd, 8v), I'm getting symptoms that remind me of when the pressure plate started coming loose, except that there's no clutch slippage. I've been driving it for about a month since I replaced the clutch, tapped the threads on the crankshaft, installed new bolts for the pressure plate, and put the whole mess back togethere. For the last two days, though, it's been making a rattling noise when I push in the clutch to change gears (for a couple seconds), or when I decelerate in gear. Please help!
My little brother was sure it was the power steering pump and I removed it, but to no avail. It's stil making noise when I shift and when I decelerate in gear... I did not replace the throwout bearing yet; could this be the problem?

Does it sound like a playing card in bike spokes? And like, it happens when the clutch is in, your cruising in nuetral, or when deccelerating, but goes away when accelerating?
This is the exact same problem that I am having on my... get this.... 89 jetta. It just appeared about 3-4 days ago after a 60 min drive in ~80* weather. SOMEBODY TELL US WHAT THE PROBLEM IS! I have replaced the cv joint, and it is not that. Throwout bearing could deffinately be the problem though, as well as imput shaft and pilot bearings... so im told.
ANY HELP IS NEEDED!

My pressure plate came loose. I had already chased the threads one time, so all I could do was go with new bolts, loctite the heck out of them, and heat them up with a torch and torque them down as best i could...
