I have a bronco 2 with two fuel pumps. When warm weather gets here the bronco shuts down like there is no gas. I replaced the fuel filter and the under body fuel pump. Could it be the fuel pump in the tank ? This winter it ran great, now that it is warm out ,proplems.

You have to confirm if the problem is a fuel or spark problem by testing for spark and testing fuel pressure at time of failure.
Also see the thread under Ranger called " 88 2.9 strange problem? "
This has a very good description of his Ranger shutting down, and may be the same as yours- Compare the symptoms
Good Luck

How long does it take before it will start again? My BII (1988, 2.9) had corroded contacts on the inertia sensor and it would die at strange times, and take 2-8 hours before it would start again. This thing shuts down power to the fuel pump in case of a crash. As far as I know, only Ford used them. If the contact fails, the fuel will shut off. I live in MO, so have swings of real high humidty. If you can find it, clean the contacts and see how that works.
