This is a way off question topic and honestly has no relavance to the 350Z as a car, but it has more to do with the motor. Does anyone know the phisical size, as in length and width, of the VQ35DE? I'm trying to see if it can fit into another car for shits and giggles.

you can fit it into a honda civic hatchback if you really wanted to. krazy body work in the engine bay and its possible.

Na, its not for a civic, its for a DeLorean. Seriously, I'm not joking, just a little crazy. :screwy: I really need to know how long the engine is though to see if it will fit in there. I don't see why it wouldn't since the car has a V6 back there anyways.

Nothing wrong with that. Making a DeLorean go as fast as it looks would be a great project. Go to or call your local Nissan Dealer. The first person you deal with will probably have no idea. The second as well,...but if you're patient, they might just find someone in the shop who can point you in the right direction. There's probably a spec sheet somewhere. If you really get desperate, find a bone yard with one, and go measure it that way. It could happen.

Why wold you want to use a VQ35DE? Cost too much to mod to get the HP level you want IMO.

There are much better options for other cars than a VQ35DE that will cost you at least 8,000 just to get less than 450rwhp...(which is debateable if that's safe or not (well, within reason, going F/I isn't safe period))
